AdAge Small Agency Diary: Anthony Del Monte

As a small agency, we have no choice but to approach every project like it’s our most important one. We must do our homework and research before we even think about sitting down with a potential client for a pitch.

If we work so hard to get to know a client before we actually engage them, shouldn’t they put forth a similar if not greater effort to learn more about our company?

If you didn’t already know, our founder, Anthony Del Monte is a regular contributor to AdAge’s Small Agency Diary. He’s written about everything from incubating talent and taking pride in your work to how to deal with losing employees.

Check out his latest post on how one company really did their homework.

Youth and Fitness

We all strive to be healthy and fit like our favorite Television/Movie stars and although it may sound tempting at times, we have to remember that if it seems too good to be true it probably is. However, one show is making a big difference in the lives of people looking to work hard to improve their health.

The Biggest Loser on NBC challenges those struggling with weight issues to work hard and lose their unwanted weight. As we can see on the show, the best way to keep yourself healthy is with a sound diet and by staying active on a daily basis. Although it’s no easy task, those with enough heart and dedication to succeed are the ones who triumph on the show. We believe our good friend Matt has those exact qualities and if given the chance, he can win it all (check out his audition video here).

Walking, running, swimming and participating in sports can help you achieve a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously boosting self-confidence. This is especially true and extremely important for our developing youth. Our founder, Anthony Del Monte, firmly believes this to be true as well, and in order to give back to the community he and his son’s trainer, Daniel Salazar, started a Muay Thai Kickboxing program for kids (Check out his blog here).

The youth is our future and if we are going to ensure they live healthy, happy lives, we must lead by example and show them the way. As it gets warmer out you don’t have as many excuses- so in the spirit of Matt- get out there and go for a walk, play catch or do anything physical that gets you off the couch and closer to a healthier life.

A Solid Strategy for Your Ad Agency: Be Boastful

As featured in AdAge Small Agency Diary the following is the latest musing from the Squeaky CEO and overall nice guy, Anthony Del Monte.

A Solid Strategy for Your Ad Agency: Be Boastful

I recently told a prospective client that ours wasn’t the best agency in the world — it was the best agency in the world for our clients. I hoped he understood that my boast was me channeling the confidence and trust that clients bestow upon us. This confidence allows us to step into almost any meeting with the knowledge that when given the opportunity we have proven to be the right agency partner regardless of size.
