Free Friday: Inkscape
Attention aspiring designers! If you’re looking to get into graphic design but can’t afford expensive software, Inkscape is just for you. Available for Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems, Inkscape is a free open-source vector drawing application.
It has a ton of useful vector drawing tools for shapes, paths and freehand drawing as well as a bunch of object transmigration and manipulation tools. Inkscape also has layers, object grouping and cloning, gradients and pattern fills, node editing and an array of text utilities.
Sure you can do a little more with expensive software but Inkscape offers capabilities similar to Illustrator and CorelDraw and it’s free!
Cheers! Have a great weekend!
