Free Friday: MoMA

moma

It’s a beautiful day in NYC and we can’t think of a better way to transition into our Friday night than by taking in some art and culture. As part of Free Fridays we are going to let you in on a little secret: Between 4pm and 8pm, admission to the Museum of Modern Art is FREE! There’s no catch either, all galleries, exhibitions and films are accessible with your Free Friday Night Pass. Don’t forget to bring the kids too! Children under 16 are always free at the MoMA.

We’d also advise showing up early because when you say, ‘Free’ in New York City people tend to swarm. Not only are we hooking you up with this valuable tip but we’d also like to let you know that you can explore the exhibits of the MoMA as well as other museums via The Google Art Project. This is a really cool digital way to view your favorite works.

If you’re like us and love everything digital, try out the free mobile apps available for your Android, iPhone, or iPad devices. They too let you explore the museum digitally, browse works, and even plan a trip. We here at Squeaky wish you a happy, restful and culture-filled weekend. Cheers!

Free Fridays: IconSweets 2

IconSweets 2

Woo hoo! It’s Friday and that means it’s time to get something for FREE! We’ve scoured the web in search of free stuff—that isn’t completely lame—and amongst our findings was a huge collection (1,000+) of icons that can be used for everything from developing mobile apps to freshening up a new web project. This collection by Yummygum, dubbed: IconSweets 2 comes ready-to-use in a vector-shaped Photoshop format.

Here at Squeaky, our business is digital and we understand the tedious, time consuming nature of developing something such as icons one by one for your projects. This set could save you tons of time in developing your latest project as well as make it look spectacular. Cheers!

Free Fridays! Get Busy With Fizy

Who doesn’t love free music? We know we do. Music is inherently soothing and allows us to be at ease with the world. Even the worst day can be turned around just by kicking back and listening to your favorite artist. Here at the Squeaky Loft we are actually encouraged to play our own taste of music. There are typically no complaints or hatred toward any particular genre as our tastes tend to be rather eclectic and open-minded. From Antoine Dodson to Jazz, we are always jamming out to something and it tends to boost morale and create friendly conversations among our music-loving selves.

For a huge collection of free streaming music check out Fizy.com. It’s a great source for any type of music even hard to find classics. What do you enjoy listening to while you work?

When you think about graphic design, a few things come to mind: image, layout, color, style, inspiration and most importantly, the font. The font in any design should embody the tone, intent, and flow between each characteristic in the said design. A great font can make your design stand out above the rest. So in light of free Fridays, we have decided to provide you with the best free resources out there for fonts.
