Free Friday: Red Bull Creation

With every project that Squeaky tackles—regardless of the client or what industry they belong to—creativity is the key to its success.

This is why were excited to discover that Red Bull is having a creative competition this weekend in our very own backyard. If you want to witness a true battle of creativity head over to McCarren Park in Brooklyn for the Red Bull Creation competition.

This event challenges contestants to build creations designed to move the weight of a person (100 lbs.) from point A to point B with the catch being that they cannot use any type of fossil fuels.

So if you’re life could use a little creativity and innovation check out the Red Bull Creation competition this Sunday and witness a battle of the brains. It’s a free event that is open to the public and should be an awesome display of creativity at its finest. Enjoy!

Free Friday: The Mark Bar in Brooklyn, NY

If there’s one thing that is certain in this world, it’s the fact that anyone and everyone loves free food. This is especially true when it’s also accompanied by cheap drink specials. So for this Free Friday we decided to take a step back from tech. and social media, instead suggesting an establishment that will happily provide you with said food and drink.

The Mark Bar, located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is the perfect place to wind down after a long work week. It features free cold cuts and pizza after 6pm (everyday) as well as daily happy hour specials between 10am and 8pm. They also have a huge selection of bottled beers as well as a nice selection of draft ales and lagers. Be sure to check out the tasty and inexpensive items on their menu too (we love the pigs in a blanket).

So duck out of work a little early and get the weekend started right by heading to The Mark Bar. Have a drink, enjoy some free food, shoot some pool and overall just kick back, relax and let the weekend come to you. Bottoms up.
